Herman Winesap has just this second figured out what the Investigators are up to: framing him for the death of Marjorie Flanders by placing the murder weapon next to him and taking this very photograph. (The big bulb attached to the handle of the rubber knife contained stage blood, so that when Marjorie's throat was slashed, it would appear to bleed horribly.)
