This is the unretouched photo of the desert symbol, as seen by the Investigators from the helicopter. Note the equally huge "bullseye" type symbol in the center of the picture which is even easier to see. This thing was out there in the desert all along and the Keeper's team couldn't see it while preparing the site. It required an aerial view. Once the Keeper learned of its existence, we all agreed to pretend it wasn't there.
