Black Tentacle Awards
This adventure won three Black Tentacle™ Awards: Best Adventure, Best Keepers, and Most Horrifying.

Players voted this game Most Horrifying because of the tremendous sense of helplessness and isolation that came along with the full-immersion style of the adventure. Full-immersion games at remote locales have continued to be the most effective.

Mythos Connections
The Lloigor is a Mythos creature first mentioned in "Lair of the Star-Spawn", by August Derleth and Mark Schorer. Derleth used the creature again in his stories "The Sandwin Compact," "Beyond the Threshold," and "The Trail of Cthulhu," all published in Weird Tales in the 1940s. Colin Wilson brought it back in "The Return of the Lloigor", in TALES OF THE CTHULHU MYTHOS. It appeared in Brian Lumley’s THE BURROWERS BENEATH, and again most recently in the vaunted ILLUMINATUS! by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea.
