May 20 - Alex and his fellow paelontologists were returning from a dig in southern Morocco when they found this critter on the beach. No, really, they did. See more of it here, here and here. Definitely one of the best cephalopod sightings we've seen. Tattoo Tentacles
June 07 - Dee Brian C. of Silver Spring, MD sent us his tat, artfully rendered by Willy the EvilGenius. Non-Sequitur
May 07 - From the wilds of North Dakota, Troy sends us a photo of his rig, with decals showing that he's a genuine Firefighter, Paramedic and Cthulhu Cultist. Click here to see detail (note cultist with camera reflected in glass). Bed of the Damned
May 07 - Marc sent us this shot of his bedroom companions. Scary in many ways. More Cthulhu Skin Ink
Apr. 07 - Jan in Recklinghausen, Germany sent over this photo of his own shoulder-borne rendering of Great Cthulhu. No doubt he can flex his muscles and make him move in interesting ways. Click here to see it slightly larger. Apr. 07 - Dave O. in San Antonio, Texas failed too many SAN rolls and started having strange dreams about sunken cities and squid headed terrors. So, he engaged Shawn DeGan of Perfection Tattoo in San Antonio to render the Great Old One into his flesh. He also had the image made into a massive window decal for his car. Well done, Dave. Apr. 07- Carmilla from Buenos Aires sends us this photo from near Tendil, Argentina where they have their own version of Sentinel Hill. This odd rock formation pre-dates mankind and has doubtless been used since time immemorial for strange and terrible rites. |
Dark Young
June 07 - Martin sent us this compelling photo of a Dark Young out taking a stroll in the moonlight. Grill of the Great Old One
June 07 - Several of you sent us this great piece of grilling apparatus. Practical yet able to frighten neighborhood children. Order yours here. Cthulhoid Embryo Specimen
June 07 - Neil in Berkeley, CA found this in Grandpa's attic. No doubt about it, Berkeley's a pretty weird place. German Shoggoth?
June 07 - Olaf (left) and Marco bravely pose with what might be the remains of a petrified shoggoth they recovered in Germany. We recommended that they soak it in their bath tub for a few days. Oddly, we haven't heard from them since. It's Mythos Time!
May 07 - Laurent returned from Greece where he had many close encounters with Mythos. Glass after glass. But, it looks like he had his revenge on the hideous tentacled monstrosities. Apr. 07 - Anne Elisabeth of Santa Monica, CA sent us this photo taken in a London park. While it's hard to make out the detail above, click here and you can see that this fellow is wearing a leather jacket emblazoned with John Dee's Sigillum Æmeth. Dee, who translated the Necronomicon into English, was instructed in how to draw this magical symbol by otherworldly spirits in 1582. The Horror in the Grocery Store Beach Front Elder Sign Mar. 07 - Anne Elisabeth and Mike discovered a "tree-style" Elder Sign on the beach in Santa Monica, California. The two had the good sense to document it with photographs (click to enlarge photo). Whether it worked to keep forces of darkness at bay (or rather, in the Bay) remains to be seen. A Happy Cultist Nov. 05- Jonathan of the Undecayed Z. family observes strange rites from his ancestral home in Utah. Despite appearances to the contrary, he is actually very happy and content in this photo. Phnglui in Sweden Aug. 06 - Jenny of Göteborg tells us that while vacationing on the island of Visby in Sweden she saw someone wearing one of our "What Part of Phnglui..." shirts. The person ran off before she could snap a photo. Typical. |
